There might be a way to do this already, but I was making a curtain and I realized that you can't make a double-sided plane that's subdivided. The only thing I could do was make two grids, and weld the edges. This works, but adds more polys. Also, if I were to make something transparent it wouldn't work very well.

Well you can make a grid (mesh), copy/flip (without moving) and merge, with the new merge tool, and unused vertices are deleted.

That will cause z-fighting issues because the two planes are on the same place. You must move one of the two just a fraction to fix this.

Another way is to simple make a cube with a single Y segment and a lot of X and Z segments. Just scale it down until it's almost flat. You then have a double-sided grid. Smile

I don't think you would get z-fighting issues as the polygons are facing oposite directions so only one will try to be drawn at a time.
I'm sure that Deled creates double sided rectangle/polys this way and have never seen z-fighting. Now if they were facing the same or almost the same way and very close or on top that would cause z-fighting problems.

Agreed.. I used the same technique for making a flag... no z fighting occured.
