You can convert your 3D creations into paper models. I've been using it to create paper sculptures and miniature models of things I have designed in Deled. Pepakura supports 3ds, obj, dxf, lwo and others. You can't save in the free version, but that's not really a problem.
Cool

Looks useful, basically a UV unwrapper, shareware, to unlock Save/Print functions, $38 fee. Smile

Lol, nice. Unfortunatly you have to pay before you can really "use" it. Sad

Well the shareware version is almost as good as the full one. From their website:

"The save and export functions are disabled until you register. All other functions work without limitation in the shareware version."

Printing function is not disabled.
I've never needed those functions when creating stuff for myself. Have fun. Very Happy

As a paper model, or a virtual model?
If a paper one, wont it catch fire? Laughing

Another app that does the same :

I think that UPC and UU3D are made by the same guy.

I used Pepakura (or should I say the proceeding version) a while ago (it's still on my old ME computer .... somewhere).
Very good programme and allows you to make great models - ideal for those dark winter months Smile
Just remember to make the model big, because trying to glue those little tags will do your head in Shocked
