Hi
Being new to DeleD i can't find out why when finishing a model and appling textures i am unable to export to x format.
Could some kind person please point me in the right direction for the
way to export to the Direct x format.
I have got the Direct x plug-in installed in the plug-ins folder.
Many thanks. _________________ JJM |

The top menu in DeleD, there's a "Plugins" menu tab which will list all the plugins that DeleD loaded up. So if you installed the X format exporter right it should appear there. Simply click on it and a window should pop up for export options and ok/cancel buttons. |

@Starnick
Many thanks i got that lot worked out now, but the exporter will only load and export x fomat.
The next bug i come across is DeleD will not save to x format to be able to
export it.
Am i just stupid or do i have to alter some settings somewhere.
many thanks. _________________ JJM |

I think I'm following you, the File->Save is only for dxs/dmf (dmf is seldom used). Other formats, such as x, obj, and are exported and imported via plugins. So "saving to x" would be the same as using a plugin to export it to x, and then importing it via one of the x importers.
Other tools like Maya or 3DS I think would have those file formats in the File->Save options, so is that what you were confused about? Because DeleD doesn't do that, the importer/exporter plugins are separate and do not get added to File->Save
Also, I'd really recommend saving your scenes to DXS and exporting to the file format you need when you need it, as sometimes information does get lost. |

Many thanks once again Starnick.
That is what i had to do, save all to the native format and then convert it to the required format. _________________ JJM |
