I completed a new project which I call Tubes And Caverns. It starts you in a large underground man made cavern, which looks like it contains some sort of toxic water.
You make your way across this 'water' to the opposite side and you have 5 tunnels to choose from. All eventually linkup together, some are longer than others. They all contain a variety of sensors which trigger different sounds.
Once you reach the main cavern, there is a music track which is quite rousing and cheering, along with a stone pinnacle and a aura. The experience is an experiment for a client. It is not available from our demo access yet, until we have had a thumbs up from the client, but here are some screen shots I grabbed while checking it out.
I'll post a picture from the main cavern with the aura later, when I have someone in the picture other than me . _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

Wow.. that's a superb looking scene there. I might draw some inspiration from it for my next videogame. |

Thanks for the feedback.
I just checked, this world is now connected to our demo access, so you can experience it for yourself. Make sure you have your speakers/headphones connected.
Hopefully, this may lead onto a much bigger labryth envionment.
I'm playing with Truespace 7.6 now, I do not intend to model in there, hell no, its akin to blender.. it may do evenything and very well, but its overwhelmingly complicated and another reason why programmes fail to hit the mainstream, due to non mainstream menuing conventions.
What I am trying to use it for, scene management. It comes with skeleton rigging, animations, physics, collaboration networking layers, particle creation, shaders etc etc etc... I will create all my models, scenes and assets in DeleD, then export them as OBJ's. Using the Luuv (not my spelling) plug-in, I can then import everything into TS. It comes with a liteweight player/client and can also be hosted in our wrapper, we are just checking that it will link to our own collaboration server.
The server also comes with VIOP layers by default. It is limited by default to 10-15 connected users per world, but as soon as we interface that to our server, we can up that to around 1,000.
This is a stepping stone between now and when we industralise the MPEG player/client for VR environments.
Enjoy the world.... might want to make sure your teddy is close at hand _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

Well, seems I wasted many hours in Truespace. All it did was screw my mind and break my workflows in the ilks of DeleD lol.
I have been busy with quite a few projects underway and at various stages. I thought I'd share a couple of pictures of one of the more advanced projects, ableit it is not complete and assuming I get the elevator physics sorted, the central core design may change radically.
The Ground Floor Lobby
The First Floor Gallery
Shot of one of the Second Floor Theatres
There will be 3 other theatres, specialising in Nutrition, Health, Meditation and Yoga excercises, along with this, the main presentaion theatre.
The lobby/gallery will have art and some ambient music, they are mainly for relaxing and conversation. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

I've been doing some cleaning up, optimising etc to this project. As you can see from the pictures below, it looks the same, but instead of getting 35-40fps, I now get 130+fps and the environment renders in around 15 seconds, as opposed to almost 2 minutes previously.
There is some Alpha fighting going on, not DeleDs fault, it looked fine in there, it's the Ogre based platform we use currently. Hopefully it won't be long before we change to our new wrapper solution _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

Wow. I love that scene.
From 35 to 130 fps is an awesome increase. Congrats. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
