Cubes are snapping to grid by default. Maybe you have to decrease your grid-size (press +). |

Harper might be right here. Doubleclick the SNAP text in the bottom toolbar to toggle the SNAP functionality. Then see what happens when you create a new cube. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

DOH... no wonder I couldn't reproduce this, I have my default settings to create cubes etc much bigger than my grid settings.
To set the default sizes for cubes etc, simply click the Cube menu function, and in the window below you will see the default settings. These represent to minimum size the shape will be when you select and simply click into the scene.
Setting this to something larger than say your default grid sizes, should prevent this happening to you again.
Do be aware, if you drag inside a viewport, when cube etc is selected, and your drag window is less than the minimum sizes you have declared, the shape will not be created. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.
