I created this tutorial of a Simple House.

As I prefer to use Graphics, there is 29 pictures, which I thought would be awkward to read/use when doing the actual modelling, therefore I created a PDF document.

I have also provided a download link to the model, at the stage where the tutorial brings the user to. This is so they can compare like for like.

Might be interesting to see, how users develop the basic model and see the variations achieved.

Just to get things rolling, this is what I did with that basic model, in just an hour....

I'm sure many others can do a lot better Smile

Woah amazing! This makes me wanna do graphics programming again (Doing PHP work for over a month now). Reminds me that I should really start on my TubeRunner 2 game for the IGF 2012. Wink

My main focus is on the tutorial. I believe this selection of tutorials I've been creating, use a wide selection of tools, along with creating familiarity with commonly used tools, to achieve usable results.

The idea behind the house model, is to see how those, that have followed the tutorial, can move forward to the next steps and create a unique version of the house.

I may develop more intermediary tutorials, albeit I do not believe I am sufficiently skilled to create advanced tutorials.

I'll put all tutorials into PDF format, as they can be stored locally and used as reference at any time.

It looks great, especially with the light mapping.

I've spent sometime cleaning up the Cottage model, mainly textures (rotation, scale, location etc) along with fixing some mesh holes left after the smoothing operation. It is not perfect, nor optimised.

The above link to the cottage model package is auto updated to the new version, if you have already downloaded the old version, simply download again.

Here is a screenshot of the updated cottage.
