Thanks. I'm working on the rest of the bar as well. It's so nice working with this editor after the nightmare that was Blender. |

I don't know how anyone does anything in Blender. Its a very capable programme, buried within its own multi layers of menus, making even simple tasks very long and drawn out. It is also a victim of its own development, in that the many skilled people that develop it, have applied virtually every function known to man. It is now a swiss army knife.
It took me over 2 hours to work out how to move the view in Blender lol. And I really, really (did I say really enough?) hate the tethered viewers. Why you would only want to rotate your view around an object, in what is a capable scene builder, defies logic.
Anyway (puts soapbox away), I like where your scene is going and can't wait to see how it develops.
Did you see my attempt at a English Pub, all created in DeleD? http://www.delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4089&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60
Feel free to use some of the props I made for that build, if for nothing else, just to see how I did it (assuming you need that kind of help).
Do you have some storyboard/theme for this scene? Maybe a multi themed club would be awesome, have a dungeon/goth area, retro, Electra, traditional cosy (already done) etc. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

I will defenilty be using your props for guidance. Particulary the ones that have glass
The concept I'm going for is a two level basement pub like you might see up north where you can actually have basements without flood problems.
First basement level is going to be something open to the public like what you put together and the second (what I'm doing right now) would be open only to certain clients for private meetings (for the local mob, politicians, rich people, etc). An elevator will connect the two levels (if I can get animation working) and the first level would connect to the street via stairs.
I'm not very organized so I don't have any storyboards . Just post-it notes. |

Thats really coming together. I see lighting, like in most cases, is going to be a scene breaker. It will be interesting on your choices.
I can see you are poly conscious, maybe spend a couple more of those curtains, they will add a natural element to the scene. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

That's a sweet light fixture, that's for sure.
John, would you mind providing one of those lightmapped shots for our gallery? _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Thank you. It would be an honor. Take whichever one you like. This one would be preferable though:

I too like the wall lamps
3 minutes to render? Wow, many of my scenes take between 30-90 minutes to render. One (Mayan Temple) took over 2 hours lol. |
Thanks.
Ouch. The thing is I'm going to try to render this real time with Irrlicht. I don't know how many polys it can handle though. Even with static lighting. Guess I'll be using a lot of LOD. |

Like the layout and stuff. Couches could use a better texture though, and if you're worried about polycount the lamps and stuff are very high poly.
Also, Deled doesn't have a "Normals Smooth" function, but your wall curves definitely need that. |
