|
|
I have been using the Background Image function, to use to create terrain meshes. I discovered that using it, can freeze the programme.
Right Click the Top Viewport, choose Background Image menu, then Load. Navigate to your picture and click Open. Now go back to the menu and choose Modify, choose Scale. Scale the picture.
All the other menu choices anywhere are now greyed out and cannot be selected, you are trapped.
I discovered a way out, that is to choose another window and load a background image into that, then use the same menu and choose Clear. All menus come back and your other background image is unchanged.
Also, the background image is not sticky and cannot survive re-openning the project. Ive used place markers for my mesh and the background image, in the form of named cubes to set the corners. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

To get out of the modify tool in background images you have to press esc.
I know what you mean about background images not being saved with the scene file being akward when using as a reference for moddeling.
I do intend to make a patch for this now that DeleD is open source. |

Just wanted to point out that this is still an issue with the latest version (2.45)...only worse.
Code: |
Access Violation at address 004f27b8 in module 'deled.exe'. Read of address 00000004 |
When using scale with percentages on the background image (after a number of uses, eg keep scaling by 110% until image is right size). Then again on ESC, undo, etc, etc. |
