Thought I'd share these:







Actually they're bit of a progression, with the last being the completed effect. It's a glow effect similar to how bloom post-processing is done, but instead of extracting the brightest part of the frame, an emissive map is used to control which areas should glow on the models. That's blurred with a gaussian filter and then composited to produce the final image. Rendered in Tesla.
