Hi folks,
here's a life sign from me. I'm still doing around with DeleD, and therefore i will show you this:
Horseshoes are well known as a symbol of luck - and that is what i wish to the community.
This is a very little detail of a stable that i'm just working on.
Keep on, have fun in 3D! |

I know different cultures hang their horseshoes in different ways. To the Romanies, hanging them down like this, means that 'Luck' will run out, whereas up the other way, means they will fill with luck.
As always, and excellent scene and models. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

You cannot hang them up the other way - they will fell down !
I have seen in this picture a incomplete heart symbol.
But a nice cultural advice; you're a literate man.
And to Jeroen: The shadows were the hardest thing, with no visible tool to adjust.
Five simple lines could help: indicating center, inner and outer angle.
Someone there to improve this? I ask for such, long ago.... |

Yes, they are hung with wires and or nailed.

Wiki Quote:
When kept as a talisman, a horseshoe is said to bring good luck. Many believe that to hang it with the ends pointing upwards is good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by, whereas to hang it with the ends pointing down, is bad luck as all the good luck will fall out. Others believe that the shoe should be hung the other way, as it will then release its luck to the people around it.
Its also why horseshoe confetti is used at weddings, for good luck for the bride and groom.

Wiki Quote:
It is difficult to differentiate between items supposed to avert evil and items intended to attract good fortune.
Cast-off horseshoes are often nailed up over, or close by, doorways, normally with the ends pointing upwards; it is said to collect good luck, or to stop the luck from falling out (see Oakham's horseshoes). Model horseshoes (of card or plastic) are given as good-luck tokens, particularly at weddings, and small paper horseshoes feature in confetti.
When all is said and done, your models/scene is great _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.
