Hi Programmers!
For all of you here is a new idea: Torus Mapping.
All the time i create a thing like this:->
i have the dream of automatize this (a little).
Toruses are the most nerving models of all primitives.
Is there an idea of making uv-mapping easier? |

My NashaUV plugin can't do torus mapping unfortunately.
Since your torus has a square-ish shape, you could try to use multiple cylindrical mappings (one per side). If you don't know how to do it with NashaUV, you could try this:

This deals with planar mappings, but cylindrical works almost the same, except that it will be mapped to a cylinder.
Or you could just PM me and I'll explain the details. |
