Okay, I haven't seen much for new posts here in a while. (I'm such a lurker.) Very Happy Moving on, here's my first post. (I think)

That's it. I still have to do the rigging, wheel, The actual lean-to thing, and a bit of re-fleshing all over. Suggestions, and criticisms are welcome. Peace out!

That's a might fine airship you've got there! Very Happy Love the surrealistic look-and-feel. Are you going to use this for a game or something?

Thanks for the input! And actually yes, eventually. I don't have many resources laid out yet, so I assumed this shouldn't be posted in the game artwork category. School is keeping me pretty busy and such. I'm moving pretty fast now with the holidays arriving though.

Looks very interesting as a model, and for a project. I can imagine flying between scenes in such a craft, or exploring a mountainous scene.

A quick little update before I head off to work.

Full shot, with rigging! Very Happy

A shot of the living quarters. It's a small vessel, so They can sleep in shifts. :p

The helm.

Up close view of the keel and rudder.

I've got to add some more detail before I go all out and attempt to texture it, but I'm still trying to keep it low-poly. Let me know what you think needs work. Thanks! Peace!

This is looking really cool.
Are you planning on animating the rudder and props?

Yeah I do. I want to finish fleshing it out a bit before I add in any animations. I've got a couple new details in mind. But yes the wheel, rudder, fins(planned), props, and hammocks will all be animated. Along with the ship swaying under the balloon and some flags a well. I intend to have a crew wandering around the ship, but I'm far from putting that together at the moment.

Haha! I know right? Ever since seeing Wild Wild West / The Mummy Returns I've been a huge steampunk fan. Especially when it comes to the dirigibles! Then Crimson Skies pretty much made all those thoughts and feelings towards steampunk with it's dieselpunk artwork. SOOOO AWESOME! Very Happy
