I'm starting a new series on using Deled 3d editor. I chose to use this editor for my video games because it can export to .DBO format. I will be doing a full video guide series on how to use Deled. I know there are not may videos right now but I will be adding more and more as I finish them.

Those are very useful intro movies, excellent work.

There exists a series of static tutorials made by users, on the wiki. I'm not sure how familiar you are with DeleD, but they may be useful as background material.

I noticed you encouraged viewers to make comments and post questions on the video website, perhaps you may want to encourage them to post here?

I would love for them to post here. Feed back is always welcome. I've been using 3d modelers for 10 + years now. Now I'm coming to a point where I want to take game creation serious. I think Deled is the perfect modeler. It's free , easy to use , and supports .x and .dbo Razz

which happens to be what I'm using. I would really like to get this modeler back into the forefront. I've only been using it a few short months now , but from what I've seen it is quite effective.

Of course I don't mind. I'll be uploading a few more on Monday and I'm going to make a downloadable sample kit.

Ok, I added the videos to the youtube channel. Again, excellent work - I like the way you explain things + you have a good natural voice for this type of stuff.

Oh btw, to pronounce DeleD, just say "Del" and "Ed" as one word. Smile

Ok , I added a new one on textures. Going to tackle UV mapping next. Thanks for the compliment btw.

I wasn't sure if Deled had any accent marks on it , so I just used "Del" but I will be sure to use the entire thing for now on :>

The catalogue of tutorials is coming along very nicely and is excellent work. They are begining to show, not just the potential of DeleD as a modelling programme, but the simplicity and ease that users can achieve complicated projects.

To make the viewports larger on screen, use the View menu, then click Tiles and they will equally fill the vacant screen space.

Tip: I noticed you use fairly small 2d/3d views. As you have some empty space on the right side of those view, you could resize, for example, the 3d view so that you can see more of the scene at any one time.

I posted the second part of the UV mapping video. It's a very short video and just covers one thing I missed in the first video. The next video will be the start of creating a simple 3d castle with a surrounding wall.
