I'm not too familiar with this kind of thing (the different types of mapping), so bear with me.
I've seen Normal-mapping mentioned on the Wiki, but there was no page behind the link.
Is it possible to create different maps in DeleD? At the moment, I'm working on a Roman insula (residential building), and the roof will consist of the classic orangey tiles (?). On their own, the building looks alright, but I'd like to get make the roof look a bit more 3D without sky-rocketing the poly count, which at the moment is at a satisfactory 80-something.
How would I go about doing this?

Normal mapping itself is not supported by DeleD.
That said, you can still have it in your own game(engine). DeleD allows multi-textured materials. You just need to add the normal map as a new texture and assign the texture coordinates correctly. That would probably do it. DeleD doesn't "render" the normal map though, so you will see the typical blue-ish texture. |

normal maps/height maps are not created from models. They are created from images.
Try this. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
