|
|
Open up DeleD tonight and for the first time I started to use it. I'm playing with the Polyline tool right now. I would like to insert some vertices. But I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I'm in the front view. I click on the Insert box, click on a line where I want the vertex, get some text that shows up if I have any vertices selected, otherwise I see nothing. Still searching the forums for help, but my search terms have me 300+ pages and I just want to model, so hopefully someone can forgive me and help me out.
Thanks!

- Select the PolyLine tool
- Left click in any of the 2D views to insert vertices
- Right click to end the operation _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Yeah I figured out you add vertices in a counter-clockwise direction. What I meant was when you are done, and have right clicked to stop, how do you continue to add vertices where needed? From what I could tell vertex adding has to be done in the 3D view, but as a polyline isn't 3D there's no edge to click on. Just trying to figure out how to add vertices to a closed polyline object.
Hey thanks for your replies! I sure do appreciate it Jeroen!

Note that although a polyline is flat, it is actually 3D.
If you want to add vertices to a polyline (or any object for that matter), try this:
- create your polyline
- select it
- select Vertex mode
- select the Insert tool
- click on any edge of your polyline in 3D view _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |
