|
|
Well I thought I had this figured. I had a poly that for some reason filled to the inside of my mesh. I selected the thing, went to flip, pressed the button, clicked on the poly - nothing. Maybe flip isn't what I want? I mean maybe it doesn't do what I think? Do I have to detach this or something first? Oh and while I am here, how do I rotate something? Maybe I could detach, rotate, and re-attach the poly?
Double checking the wiki to be sure the info is not there -

Flip is the one you want, indeed. Try this on a simple cube, flipping the upper polygon. On the outside of the cube, it'll look like the polygon is gone. Now move your camera to the inside of the cube and look up. There it is again! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

OK, thanks, but how? Do I click on flip, select a poly, and press Enter or something? That seems to be how welding works...

Create a cube. Select it. Go to polygon mode. Select the upper polygon. Select the Flip tool and press the OK button in the Flip properties panel. That should do it. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

That did it! Insert a big, "DUH!" here! I guess I just completely ignored that giant OK button sitting down there
Hey thanks again, trying your vertex insert tip next! Once I'm stumbing around fluidly I'll get that simple house tut up and throw in some vertex and poly manipulation.
