Hi there,
Welcome to the very first DeleD Screenshot Contest!
Your goal: create a stunning screenshot of a (lightmapped) scene in DeleD in 640x480 format.
Prize: if you win, you'll get a copy of DeleD 1.0 PRO for free!
Starting date: march 27th 2005
End date: april 24th 2005
You may submit one picture. Only if there are enough reasonable quality screenshots submitted, a winner will be picked. The winner will be choosen by the community using a poll. DeleD PRO users, obviously, are excluded from this contest. Delgine Team has the right to use submitted pictures as promotional material.
Submit your screenshot in this very topic. If you don't have your own webspace, you can create an account at http://photobucket.com for free. This site allows you to store your images and direct link to them from other websites. If you are still unable to post your picture on the internet, let us know so we can place it in this topic for you.
Goodluck!
Delgine Team

To clairfy: The 640x480 shot must be taken from a cropped shot from the 3d view in the editor? |

Doesn't have to be from within the 3D view, it just has to be a shot of a scene made with DeleD. We can't varify if the scene really was made in DeleD anyway (you can easily fake the 3D view), so there's no need to take the shot from within the 3D view. |

Hey Jeroen,
I've placed a news item on PGD about this, hope it helps gets some exposure. As an idea for verifying if it was made with DeleD, perhaps you could impliment Export/Save As Jpeg tag support? Digital cameras use these tags to mark where the images were made from for instance. Of course they could easily fake that too, but at least it'll make 'em have to work for it and it'll deter some less than honest people aswell.
Best of luck with the contest! |

Then by what criteria are the shots judged on? Because those who can load their scenes into their own engines can make the screen shots look better. It puts the darkbasic(and whatever else is used to import a level without any code) and people just making levels inside of deled at a disadvantage. |

Also, as the winner will be decided by public voting, and we are all smart enough to see right through that (right?), that shouldn't be much of a problem. |

Did you mean stunning as in, a modeling masterpiece? Or did you mean "stunning" by the lights? |

That could be both actually. What we want to see are goodlooking screenshots. Whatever you want to make, you decide. It just has to result in something goodlooking. |
