|
|
Hi, the Create Item Frame is invisible on my traveling laptop (due to the small resolution), here are some resources that may be of help:
Acer Aspire One
Graphics Accelerator : Intel(R) GMA 950
Current Display Mode: 1024 x 600 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Whether or not I show or hide frames, move them around or turn the application upside down, there is no way to even get the slightest hint of the Create Item Frame. Love Delgine though, my entire game engine is based on it and even with tons of other glitches especially in Constructive Solid Geometry (that I usually love..) it's brilliant, keep up the good work! _________________ Henry00³ ( de Jongh )

Have you tried moving the frame? When you hover over the frame border between the CSG and the Move Properties frames, your cursor should change to two horizontal lines, hold the left mouse button and drag that downwards to reveal the create frame. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

Brilliant, it was indeed hidden there and I was able to make it appear! Perhaps it would be good though if the developers added a "minimum height" to prevent others from having this issue.
Thanks for the help I appreciate it! _________________ Henry00³ ( de Jongh )

An other issue has introduced itself, when I start displaying the Create Item Frame the buttons inside of the Properties Frame: "OK" and "Reset Value" start messing up and even turn invisible, block controls etc.

Good find. I have set the minimum height of the Create Item panel to 100, which should eliminate these problems. However, this means that the entire DeleD window cannot be made smaller than 790 pixels in height, which might be a problem on your particular system. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! That's great! I am so glad this project is still active as it's the first modelling program I loved due to its ability to make models AND maps with the ability to be low poly!
About the interface, I gave it some thought and this may be too much work however a perfect solution would be to split the "edit" and "create" modes into two tabs, or to make that an optional feature in the preferences. It's not like anyone would paste hundreds of different objects within a minute so I doubt it would cause any complications (except some programming related issues). _________________ Henry00³ ( de Jongh )

Do you programme? DeleD is open source. Or maybe contribute to a group, should one exist, to rewrite DeleD?
In addition, 600 pixel height for a screen, is a bit small. Most programmes would aim for a minimum of 800. Do you have access to a secondary monitor, or possibly purchase one (nothing fancy, cheap to do the job)? _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

Yes I am an autistic programmer but have too many projects at the moment to start editing DeleD as well.
(Although my engine is build around DeleD, so I might just go ahead sooner or later)
I am on my traveling laptop ( I have a much bigger computer at home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r59zFvPSbmY ).
I could imagine I am not going to be the only person that would ever encounter this problem, that's why it's a good thing to at least try and solve it to prevent any future complaints. _________________ Henry00³ ( de Jongh )

You hold the accolade of a 'complaint' about using DeleD on a 600 pixel resolution screen. I doubt this would motivate the development team into action. |
