Goodness. I am positively overwhelmed by all the great feedback! Thank you ALL very, very much! I have only scratched the surface of the Wiki, so that's a big step in the right direction. Harper obviously has mad skills, and I am also (mainly) a programmer, so this is an uphill battle for me too. Of course, that very reason is why I am really thankful for a solution like DeleD which lets me get on with the business instead of spending 20 years learning stuff.
Again, thanks to you all! _________________ "That is not dead which can eternal lie,

We're working hard towards a beta-release within the next few months. Here's a little preview of something we've been working on - UV editing:
This fancy little cube has multiple materials assigned to it. Applying materials to objects is super-easy, as is manipulating your UV's now using the UV Editor. Also notice the material categories in the upperright corner. Managing your materials over there is a breeze. Oh, and while your in that corner, take note of the "Library" button that's over there as well. It's fully functional but we're not showing what's behind that button yet. We like to tease.
Anyway, this is just a small portion of the things we have been working on in the last couple of months. Now its a matter of fixing up a number of details + getting our servers fully operational (already partly done as well) before going into beta. We'll keep you posted! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Thanks for the feedback guys!
@AWM: I like those links you posted, especially the digitaltutors one. DeleD WE 1.0 will just use a single texture in a material for starters. I'm aiming to expand that into using normal & bump maps soon after. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

I was getting a bit ahead of myself. Glad you liked the links.
I must say, the interface, like DeleD CE, looks awesome from the user perspective. Very clean, easy to find and use and not full of 'just because I can' menu choices.
It must have been a long road for you, but I know I speak for a lot of DeleD fans, we are appreciative of you doing this. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

This was the idea from the very start of DeLeD development, glad to see
The boys are sticking with this idea .As you no there are a lot of features
Inside DeLeD without all the confusing buttons.

Yes, it's going very well, thanks! We're busy setting up our production server now. Lots and lots of things to tweak like installing a webserver, sql server, mailserver etc etc.
We will be releasing 3 versions of DeleD in the near future:
- alpha: a very early version of DeleD; we'll invite a few of you guys to come over and give it a try.
- beta: a testversion for a broader audience, which should be more stable and have more functionality than the alpha version.
- production: the final production version. By this time, we'll inform everybody we're live and it's celebration time!
Actually got the alpha version up and running for the most part already but we need to get some more stuff in place before telling you guys. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

So on a whim I come here seeing what happened to this place, using DeleD AGES ago (and loving it, been trying blender out and that hasn't been fruitful), and what's this? A...a WEB EDITION!? DeleD returning in glory!?
*Insert Hallelujah chorus here*
Devs, I sincerely wish you luck on this, may it take off and be awesome! |
