Does DeleD do the whole object animation thing, because I don't see anything to animate the objects. |

As far as I know, it doesn't. That might be something to add in future versions. |

No, DeleD doesn't do animations, and won't support them in the near future. We choose to keep DeleD a static modeler.
For animations, take a look at a program like Milkshape, that offers great animation support at a very affordable price. |

If your a brave adventerious type with a knack for picking up on odd gui interface and can climp the steep learning curve blender does animation. Other wise maya or 3ds if you can afford the cost.
As far as i know if you load a x file with animation it will strip the joints/bones out of the file and you should be able to work on the static mesh if you dont care about keeping the animation. That is most of the time not the case so if your needing a cheap (like free) modeler to do animation you will have to climb mount wannahawkaluggie and learn the blender interface. The guys that know blender have nothing but good things to say about it. ive poked around in it an its not bad.
Another mid range in cost tool that I think does animation and some outstanding normal mapping is ZBrush2. Really good tool aound the 500usd mark but worth every penny if your wanting a very high level of eyecandy.
hope that helps. |

Yokom, I note how you don't mention Milkshape there (which is definitely no ZBrush, but at a price of $25 you can't really go wrong). Do you consider it too limited? |
