|
|
Some of you are already wondering so just to let ya'll know: we are striving to release DeleD 1.3 in the midst of August.
...
2005 that is
The new release will be refactored for quite a large part (users won't notice but the internal workings of DeleD are very much improved); it supports alpha-textures (lightmapper will be able to handle them also) and CSG routines (subtract, intersect, union) have been implemented as well. |

*throws his voice* And this too...
How is texturing coming along?
And getting all the GUI components to work (The ones that aren't implemented) |

That's great news!
Will this mean that untextured colour transparency will be supported too?
(referring back to my question on an earlier thread about importing obj files with semi-transparent materials)
Thanks! |

Vampyre: I hope not to disappoint you too much, but those 'quick grid settings' did not make it onto the 1.3 priority list. They will be implemented in 1.4 unless I finish my top priority items (more specifically: remaining bits and pieces needed for alpha support) ahead of schedule. Not very likely.
Nextdoorscat: yeah, it does! Might take an extra day or two before the import plugins are updated too, but DeleD 1.3 will definitely support that. |

What about a beep or something to signify that lightmapping is done? |

No, it won't make it into 1.3 (the 1.3 priority todolist is fixed), but yes, I think that's a great idea Putting it on the list. |

What about a functioning 'in use' flag on the materials? |

Please post your suggestions in another thread as this thread is only about 1.3. TODO for 1.3 is fixed but we'd like to keep track on what users want so... |
