Break up your ground more into smaller like 128x128 (or maybe 64x64) grids and you will get much better shadows from the bridge. |

It's proper form to produce small triangles for lightmapping considerations. Some lightmappers will break up larger triangles to keep them small enough to fit in the current mapper resolution, however and automated process is never as good as hand manipulation, and you know how to not make a mess of your 3d data. Also for the water you can break it up so that 4 quads fit evenly across, and then keep pasting them down the length of the river, you'll get much better shadows along the river.
Do the same along the bridge. this wil lgive you even shadow resolution along the map to do this. It will also light more accurately should you fire a missle with a real time light attached.
Very nice work. I was suprised this morning when I came to the thread. |

That looks great.
How many polys in that bridge tho? It's got to be high. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

There are over 12,000 polygons on the scene and bridge have got about 9,400 polys. _________________ Celeron 1,3Ghz Tualatin
