I have a couple of buildings connected by a corridor. I inset, extruded, then deleted both faces. (from front view). My problem is, how do I cut a hole in the original building where the hall enters? I tried to grab the faces to delete, but can't seem to get them.
Here are the views from both sides of the walls. This one from the main building, it's made from a huge sphere.

And this one is from the other side. Notice how you can see thru from the other side, but not from inside the main building? I can't walk thru it eather.

Tis an odd thing.

Edit to add: The reason you can see thru the wall on the outside (brick) is becouse I deleted the one wall and added extra parts to fill in.

Have you tried grabbing them in 2D views? Also, to make holes, the easiest way is probably to use the new CSG routines.

I haven't figured out how to use the new csg routines.
Yes, I tried to grab the polys, but couldn't. It won't highlight them.

Edit to add:
I can be such a ditz when I'm tired. Went into polygon mode, deleted polys, fixed. Now I just have to fix the boo boo in the top.

Laughing Glad you got it figured out, and no problem being a ditz when tired - i know the feeling. Wink

About CSG routines, for example: place a large cube in the top view, then place a cylinder inside that cube while making sure it's top and bottom polygons are _not_ coplanar to the cube's top/bottom polys. Then first select the cube and then the cylinder (using ctrl+shift to select). That will make sure the cylinder is being used as CSG operator. Press subtract. What did you get?

Thanks for the tips. That works great. I never thought about needing to highlight both before, but it works. Smile
