It's easier for me to use 0,0,0 as ground-zero for worlds and objects. Could that cause problems with locating an object's center point when I export to Ogre's Mesh format? |

Good question! I am not sure, but I don't think that will be a problem. No explicit 'object center' is saved into the file, but we DO save a bounding box and radius, so that should be sufficient for Ogre to figure out the object center point. But then again, I could be wrong.
If you are running into specific problems, please inform us about them, and we'll see if we can fix things! If anything goes wrong, as a hotfix, you can always move the objects back until they are centered around (0,0,0) before exporting |

I'm exporting models for use in Blink 3D. I don't understand if the trouble is with Deled, the Ogre Mesh export, or the implementation in Blink. Clive (from Blink 3D) was going to look into the problem, but I don't want to waste any more of his time. I just wanted to know whether or not I can leave the Deled model as I built it. (It's so much easier for me to orient things if they've all got 0,0,0 as ground-zero.) |

You should be able to just leave your objects as you built them. I have and they work just fine. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
