Yeah, it's a problem Dave and the Delgine team are facing all the time, no quality textures. |

No guarantees - but even Psionic has his textures there so there should be something:

i know the problems with texturing. to be honest, i really can't figure out how to texture a simple gun. anyone who wants to write a tutorial?
or will the new version of DeleD support easier texturing? _________________ ---===STILLER===--- |

At the moment, DeleD is most suitable to texture levels. Texturing more complex models (like characters) can't really be done until we implement skinning (that's something Paul is going to concentrate on). Use Unwrap3D to texture your models for the time being.
DeleD is able to move/scale/flip/cycle textures right now. Skinning will allow us to manipulate individual UV coords as well. |

DDS is not much of a problem, the uncompressed ones that is. However, you probably want to use compressed textures (DDS with DXT compression), don't you? |

For DDS i will most likely be using compressed yes.. but more likely i will be wanting to use alpha textures when using DDS.
