|
|
Hi. I have 3D GameStudio Commercial Edition and DeleD 3D Lite.
What I saw in DeleD 3D is the workflow is different than in 3D GameStudio. To create a cube in 3D GameStudio, depending on what position I'm viewing in 2D view (either the top, back, or the side), whenever I place a cube or a primitive/prefab, it will always place what I have requested in the middle of the view (if not at X: 0, Y: 0, Z: 0, which is the origan). So to do this, I go to Object, Add Cube, Large (there are three sizes to choose from). By doing so, WED (world editor) places the cube automatically into the 3D world. Then, I can do what ever I want. I can scale the block (Mode, Object Scale), rotate (Mode, Object Rotate), move (Mode, Object Move), or select a single or groups of block(s) (Move, Object Select). If I want to hollow a block, I can first scale the block to the size I want, then do Object, Hollow Block. But then, how would I do this in DeleD 3D Editor? Is tehre any beginner tutorials for DeleD 3D Editor?
Thanks. _________________ The tool used to develop games:

You can simply place a cube in your world by selecting the Cube from the Primitive list and then drawing it on the 2D views by dragging your mouse. That way, you can create cubes with any dimension (not just 3 like in 3DG) at any position you like. When it's placed, you can select it using SHIFT+Leftmouse on the 2D views. Then, use the commands found on the right panel on the selected object (Hollow is one of them).
There aren't many tutorials yet. I believe a user has made one + you can browse through the Tutorial forum here. Also, be sure to check the manual. All concepts are presented there, without using too many words... |
