|
|
First create wall
Then select front & back polys
Then select inset, i selected (recursive calls 1)(scale precentige 40)
Then select the front poly and extrude to the back poly
Then delete both middle polys
And move vertices to suit window or door position & size
Hope this helps

Hi there Stefan. Please read the manual that comes with DeleD.
All commands are summarized on a single page in the manual.
After you read the manual, you will understand the tutorials here a lot better. |

Just out of curiousity, are all these features available in the lite version? I've
read the included documentation about 3 times, and havn't seen any mention
of selecting indevidual polys. I have seen how to create new objects from
polys and select them, but you don't mention that in your tutorial. What page
do I need to read? |

Selecting individual items is done exactly the same way as you would select object: use SHIFT+leftmouse. But... in order to select polygons, you have to have the object selected first. So select your object using SHIFT+leftmouse first, then go to polygon/edge/vertex mode and select the item you want by using SHIFT+leftmouse again.
As mentioned by Paul-Jan, we'll be working on our Help+tutorial section soon. |

WOW, thats cool an easyer way to add windows/doors without
deleting walls and placing smaller ones around the opening.

@granada: Instead of the extrusion-step you can imho also use the "connect" tool. |
