Warning : only the texturing job has been done in DeleD (well also some small geometry addons),
but I post it anyway ( for the week-end entertainement) ...

(by the way : is there any rules about what can be posted here ?)

Very nice. I'm a nut for modern urban models.

Very nice indeed! I love the lightmapping too. But... you didn't use DeleD for lightmapping?

About rules: DeleD should be used when modelling your object but you don't have to do everything in DeleD. Even if you only did a minor part using DeleD, it's OK to post it here.

Because I wonder how DeleD's lightmapper behaves when lightmapping a complex scene like this one with all the tree-leaves etc. Smile Also, I'd like to know what program you did use instead and why? Gile[s] perhaps?

Hi Jeroen,
yes I've used Gile[s] for the lightmap job ...
The next time I will post something all done in DeleD Smile
Now why did I use Gile[s] instead of DeleD, probably because Gile[s] is faster (really really faster), and gives me more options (like keeping some textures out of the lightmap, i.e. not lightmapping them, and so and so ...) ... I've no time for a full comparison but I suppose there's a lot to say (do you have the app yourself ?).
Anyway, next time : full DeleD job Wink

Gile[s] is the better lightmapper. Its faster, has better quality and uses global illumination for light calculating. The build-in DeleD Lightmapper has less quality, is slower and he uses the "standard" lightmapping technique.
