After exporting to 3ds, I open it up in deled. It looks fine, but when I go to place a texture the whole model just changes to the color to the texture, but not the actual texture.
For example if the texture was grass, it would turn green but not have the texture of grass. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. |

Your model may not have texture cordinates.
Anytime I import something without texture coordinates, they come in as all 0s so any texturing will be the color of the first pixel in the texture. This is proper/standard/expected behaviour.
Right click on your object, and toggle Auto UV back on. Then select move your object for it to take effect. You will see your grass. You can also select all your faces, and affect the UV coords in the face menu manually. |
