I want to make Yafaray to be extremely easy to use with DeleD - so you get a second chance
But it will have no network support only multi-threading. But Yafaray is very fast anyway. And you'll have the option to make a preview, a final rendering and anything in-between. |

Yafray looks awesome.
I'd like to keep an eye on this plugin of yours. Did you just start writing it? Maybe you can open a new thread to keep us posted. |

This sounds awesome
I have acheived some good results with the DeleD internal lightmapper. Playing with the settings is key and not accepting the defaults for every situation, is called for.
As most of my work is for a browser based rendering plug-in, I am very focused upon overheads like huge lightmaps. If Yafray can acheive good results with the sort of overheads of the finished 3D Virtual Reality Scene, then it will certainly elevate our current acheivements.
Again, I am amazed at the effort you guys put towards making DeleD a great tool. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

There's no end to the awesomeness of such a plugin for Yavaray. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Yafaray cant render lightmaps only single frames from a fixed camera, it also does not use the lightmap for rendering. The lightmap packing in DeleD is also something that i plan to improve later, but that is not related to the plugin. The one thing is for real-time (lightmaps) and the other for stills (Yafaray).
... i'm also impressed how well the development of DeleD goes ... and this is only the beginning |
