Then it only works when it wants to? I thought that's what it was but it worked once in two days. |

Should work, I just tried and it worked perfectly over here. Let me know if this behaviour continues so we can take a look at it for the 1.4 release. |

What happens is that it selects the face panel, or UV sacling. Oddly enough.
1) Select object
2) CTRL-SHIFT-F
3) Face menu selected

Have you tried to see what happens when you select a polygon first before hitting ctrl-shift-F? |

Note: by design, this command only works on selected faces.
Kinda important note, apparently, but during implementation I considered it the expected behaviour for an action that 'fits texture to face'. It is a shortcut for the face command 'generate uv for all polygons in selection', with 'fit texture size to face' marked. Hence, it works the same as any face command (on explicitly selected faces only).
Sorry if this has caused confusion. When in Object mode, we could have it fit the textures to all faces of the primitive. Makes sense for rectangles I guess, for most other primitives... not really

This might be real handy for cubes in some cases too so I vote we implement it. |

Ah, cubes, you are right (thinking crates here), and with at least one user considering it the expected behaviour, I totally agree. I put it on the list (implementing it today). |

I vote for it too. The other way to get fitted textures
for cubes is very tedious.

Ok, ok, I've implemented it already *lol*
From 1.4 onwards:
- In poly/face mode, it will only fit textures on selected faces/polygons
- In any other mode, it will fit textures all faces. |
