Correct.
MD2 export would make no sense from Deled, as Deled doesn't create the required information. You're better off trying Blender (free) for something like that. |

No it doesn't. MD2 was designed mainly for non static models. For quake 2 they were used for actors, projectiles etc.. so lightmapping these wouldn't make sense as the md2's location / environment will change. The file format doesn't support multiple texture layers.
It would be possible to export a model to md2 from deled but the real question is why. Information such as keyframes would be lost so it would just be a static model. Might as well just use a more generic format.
3DS is a commonly used format and I'm considering writing an exporter plugin for this some time if someone else doesn't beat me to it. |

I'd vote for a 3ds export!!
Also a .terr import/export for terrain if you find time |

Haha, time is the essential word here my friend. Just add the words "lack of" in front of it and you know what my problem is. |

Doesn't Deled export to 1 format already? .x I believe? Just use another program to convert that .x into .3ds, .obj or whatever you need. Wings 3d can import and export a few formats, including obj and 3ds. |
