I wrote a tutorial on creatig pottery with DeleD. I'm not sure how well I explained the process, especially since the steps are very open ended depending on the exact shape the reader might want to make.

http://vampyredark.googlepages.com (click pottery on the side menu)

(The potts kind of look bad with the sharp edges, but there is nothign that can be done in DeleD about that yet.) Embarassed

I'll fix those typos. Otherwise everything is clear enough that I can say it's finished? Laughing

That's a pretty good tutorial. Smile
Thankyou. It was quite enlightening to us "Non artistic" types.

Cool I'm awaiting the tutorial about using the edge commands. Smile I almost never touch the edges unless I'm extruding on to make an L shape. I'm probably missing out on some cool stuff.

Yeah, I nuked my page, and I will rewrite those things, because DeleD has changed a bit. I can show you how to make pots that don't look faceted!

The tutorial is also hosted on Deled's site, so you can see the old one there.

There's not a tool for this in DeleD yet, you will have to do it by yourself. See http://www.delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2649

We'll be working on a generic 'bend' tool in the near future, allowing you to bend any mesh (including cylinders to create pipes). Up 'till then you'll have to do it manually, like Mr Fletcher pointed out.

Also, the request for some way of quickly creating pipe geometry does come up more than occasionally, so I am putting up a generic request for a plugin that does this. Perhaps some kind programming soul feels like creating something like that, I'm sure it would be a populair tool!
