Currently, there is only Inset which divides polygons, which is not very well suited in many cases. There's a lack of a real subdivision function, that divides triangles into smaller triangles.

Although selecting all edges of a triangle/polygon and using the Connect command produces a simular result, I can image having a "subdivide" command that does so on selected polygons. Agreed?
What more subdivision functions would you like to see!? Post your comments here!
Btw, in 1.52 and above, Inset will work in the 3D view too, allowing you to scale the new polygon immediately! |

DeleD can do more subdivision than you might think.
But then again, there's always room for improvement so I hereby ask you all to list your favorite subdivision routines which you would like to see implemented in DeleD (in case they aren't already there). |
