Does Delgine support DX9 stuff? For using lighting in the Torque engine 1.5, say multi color lights? _________________

Nope, sorry, no DX9 stuff as DeleD uses OpenGL. |

So have to try this when get home , but want to create say a object and then use the lights here in delgine, say different shades of color. Do you happen know if this work in the torque?
Been so busy just creating buildings never dawned on me if wanted various colored lights in the game in the building that build. And if they will work when there in the torque engine.
Wish had a copy on torque engine to give this a shot. But get off early today, woot ...wait xmas shopping today.
Thanks alot for helping me on this matter _________________

Hi MadCow,
I am very sorry, but to me your question doesn't seem to make much sense. I'm just going to state some things, and perhaps you can rephrase your question a little bit so we can tell you what you want to know.
1. DeleD exports files. Torque reads them in. Whether or not Torque uses DX9 to render things is kinda irrelevant to us. Whether or not DeleD uses DX or OpenGL to render stuff is kinda irrevant to Torque.
2. I'm not too sure what "different shades of color"means. Currently, the exporter exports the lights in any color you want, and Torque will use them to render the Torque lightmap using those colors.
3. If you mean something more advanced than that, all I can say is this: if Torque supports loading it from file, we can generate it from the exporter. Doesn't necessarely mean you can also preview it from within DeleD, that depends on whether we consider it an important extension for everyone (not just for Torque-compatability).
4. Currently, the Torque Exporter does not export 'shader' materials as used by Torque Shader Engine. Support for this (as well as managing said said materials from inside DeleD) will be added in the future. |

Cool. (even tho I don't know how to make shaders)
Madcow, you can download the demo version of the torque engine from GarageGames website for free. You can add your test objects to the demo and see how they work.
The exporter is great, an no matter what color your lights are, torque uses them to light up your scene with. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
