If you deselect the primitive and then select it again (using shift+leftmouse), does the error occur also?

Ok then, how did you create the 5 table-parts? Just 4 simple cubes? I'd like to reproduce this one.

I have tried to reproduce this one with no luck,perhaps a walk through of what you did would help Wink .

I see the polygons in the legs of your table face inwards. Although there is no AV when I try this, I get an error nevertheless then. The selected object(s) disappear and then there is a message box with "Division by zero".
//edit
Ah, yes, I do get an AV, but with at least 3 legs used, where the polygons of the legs are flipped.

Tristan: Select the legs, go to polygon mode, hit ctrl+a (select all polygons) and flip them. Then Union should work.

oh really? well it shouldnt produce that kind of error... /sob.

I used 5 cubes.. a rather very very simple process I wasn't expecting such error... but recently ive been getting alot of error.. and alot of deleD crashes... and im in the process of testing all my opinions before buying.

I know for a fact that DeleD is cheaper then 3D World Studio, and with the package with the NF Engine that I must buy it's even cheaper. But I keep wondering with which one im better off. Would anyone have inputs on this subject?

Every editor has it's share of little crashes and problems. All CSG packages I've used can give bad results like this. These are complex operations.

You shouldn't be using any CSG commands for that table form what I can see from here anyways. Just delete the top polygons from your table legs, and hit MERGE on all the table parts to get 1 mesh.

Other than that, DeleD for me has been the most stable editor I've ever used, and it's a pleasure to work in. The authors of the software are very friendly people, and they try their hardest to solve every bug that gets reported, and comply with the endless list of feature and improvement requests we throw at them, which can't always be said for other mapping products.

VD, granada, Vijchti: thanks for the nice words. We try our best. Wink

Tristan: you're quite right, DeleD should not produce that error obviously. I failed to reproduce the error sofar. I have experienced such errors using CSG functions before though and realize the functions are perfected yet. CSG is important to DeleD so if you have any pointers / situations in which we can improve it, please do tell and we will try to fix it with a high priority.

On a side note: CSG functions in general are, like VD already said, rather complex. Also, they only work correctly on closed geometry and with DeleD, it's rather easy to create any kind of non-closed geometry as well. So in the end, with DeleD it is a matter of knowing what you're doing with CSG and your geometry.

yeah ok, well ive been testing alot of editors... terrain editors... nothing is as good as DeleD in terms of making buildings... and such. I just really needed a tool that can do what it does + terrains. ect. But I'll just buy DeleD anyway because i found a very good terrain editor although ill have to buy it but it'll be cheap it's only 30$
