Hi guys,
I think I'm finding my way around DeleD pretty good now but I've run into a selection problem. I can't figure out how to select just the 5 vertices in the image below.
Is there a way to turn backfacing off so I can only select the foremost vertices?
Or
Is there a way to make a selection in the 3d view?
I thought maybe I could select the back vertices and use hide selection, but that makes the whole object disappear. I also tried selecting the vertices I don't want and then inverting the selection but I can't do that because "add to selection" and "remove from selection" are both used by Ctrl + Shift. So when I try to remove the unwanted vertices, it selects more unwanted vertices in the back.
I'm sure that I'm just missing something here. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Nope. The easiest way is to select them one by one in one of the side views. That way you'll just end up selecting the ones in front. _________________

Thank you for the help Vijchti.
When I tried your suggestion I was actually still having trouble with back vertices getting selected in the 2d views, but I discovered that you can also select things in the 3d view if you do it one by one. The marquee selection just doesn't work in 3d. So that's going to help a LOT. I already got my stairs cleaned up.
Thanks again. _________________ Délé |
