I've been looking through and testing stuff but I can't find a function to do this: Split a surface into more surfaces... like if i wanted to suddenly add 3 more horzontal faces.. ect?
Any way to do this? if not... it's going right into the suggestion forums. |

you mean subdivision? It's more a function of hi-poly modelers specially used for organic stuff when you need smooth surfaces. You model in lo-poly, subdivide and then apply a subsurf modifier or similar. Not yet possible in Deled but I think it has already been asked for.

high poly or low poly, it's a must have function, because else i'd have to do it from scratch and it's a pain in the ass. Sometimes you need to add details and stuff.
I WANT THAT FUNCTION
I'd love if an admin could confirm if it'll be added in a future.. a soon future? |

The Super Specific (and time-consuming) Way
1. Select your object
2. Go into edge mode and select the edge(s) you want to add vertices to.
3. Select 'split' and choose the number of splits (it creates n-1 vertices)
4. Switch to vertex mode and connect any vertices you want.
Play around with this to get the shapes you want.
The Easy-Cheesy (and quick) Way
1. Select your object
2. Go into edge mode and select the edges you want to subdivide.
3. Select "connect" to split them in two. _________________
