If I want to apply a normal map texture, do I add it in layer2 of the material editor? If so, what checkboxes should I check? Also will they get exported correctly or am I better off just adding them in Beyond Virtual(my game engine). Thanks |

Do this:
- goto the Material Manager
- select your material
- press the "Create" button of layer 2
- drag & drop your normal map texture on the texture preview of layer 2
- select the appropiate blend operation
- close the Material Manager and use the material on your objects
Saving your scene to disk (regular .dmf files) will save all materials too. If you are using OBJ files in your engine: Ryan's OBJ exporter does export .mtl files too, including a color & texture for each material. I don't know if that is sufficient for your needs but I reckon it's worth a try. |
