Is it possible to change the buttons used for moving around a scene in the editor? I want to change then so that they are the same buttons as other editors I have used,
can it be changed to my own button set up?
I am using the free version to try the program out, does the manual only come with the pro version? |

Ahh, so the help file in the editor is the manual.
On the button set up, If you are making a full game then button set up is important, one gets use to certain button set ups, if one has used a program for a long time ones brain becomes set in a certain mode of use, it helps with the speed of development if one can keep the same button set up, especially if one is going from one to the other while developing. Its one of those things most wouldn't think off, but its these little things that keep development fast and efficient, an insignificant thing but it does help, Its one thing I hate about using other editors, and most never have an option to change it either, if you have made triple figure maps in a certain button set up you get pretty use to orientating in that button mode, hobbyists wont notice but for those used to a certain set up it helps a lot. If I could alter the movement set up it would help a lot.
Also can I change my hot keys, ie what key does what function, basically I want to set things up so its like what I normally use, If I can do that I would be a very happy man as I can then set up my own environment and create uniformity between my programs.
set up for moving mouse only uses one button with control and shift changing the function, its much easier to use the mouse buttons instead of only using one mouse button and and using the shift and control, if we could change that it would be absolutely great, you can use the direction buttons which is a grate idea so its like a first person shooter, that's good as well, but its a bit jiggy when it moves, kind of sluggish and jerky, otherwise that would work brilliantly. |
