The first 2 images are the original building, built in wings3d and milkshape.
The second 2 are what I've recreated in DeleD and imported into Torque.
Guess you need the url to see them.
The first 2 were made by nextdoorscat before we knew of Deled. She made it in wings or milkshape (don't know for sure which) as an entry building for a game site we were putting together.
I took the original obj, imported it into Deled and re exported it to wavefront obj so that I could import it into milkshape to export it to dts format for torque. (tis where the first 2 screens came from and is why they are so dark) I don't know why the original obj wouldn't import directly into milkshape, but that's ok. That part now has DeleD written all over it.
The second 2 images, everything was made in Deled by me. The center console and windows were exported to obj and reexported thru milkshape as a dts. The building itself is in dif format.
I'm still working on this. I have to add the lamps on the walls, and a few signs. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Thanks. I plan to make that walkway a semitransperant grating before I'm done. That would look real cool. My exporter isnt' working properly yet so transperancy isn't working. I'll get it there. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Definitely looking good! Can't say this often enough: thanks for keeping up with the evolving Torque Exporter long enough to actually start squeezing out Real Levels (tm), you've been a big help getting it to where it is now...
And yes, I'll get back to you on those e-mails you've send me about it pretty soon, I promise! |

Thanks and you are quite welcome. I'm not worried about a reply to my emails. I've been "working around" the problems.
Worked on this some more this morning before work.
Close up view of entry area. (windows will be transperant when the dts_plus exporter from milkshape get's fixed.)
A better view of the entrance area with the top showing up
I've added some lights to the walls.
btw...everything here was made in Deled. (eccept the steam)
Now to add a door... do I dare try to cut another hole? and some exits. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Very cool, it reminds me a little bit of Anarchy Online. What are the details of your project if I may ask? I noticed some text about Orcs, and I get the whole sci-fi feel. Care to comment? <Ally holds up a tape recorder> |

Before Deled, I worked with a group of people who were making a game site. We were going to have a "game tap" style site, but everyone entered thru this portal. I am rebuilding it in Deled as practice. (and to stress test PJ with the torque exporter).
This portal at the moment, can't be finished. I need to cut a doorway in the side, but can't even export the main part of the building. (don't know why it exported once, but not again)
I now have lava flowing in the bottom. I'll get a screenie of it tomorrow. (it's too late, I got up too early, and have to get up too early tomorrow) _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

I forgot about the lava pic, but....
Here is the entrance to the bar
And here is the bar itself complete with fish tank, swimming fish, and a funny looking bartender.
I will be making the furnature and pretties soon.
Does anyone know where I can get a really good shiny gold texture? (think chrome shiny) _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Woha, that's one though but funny looking bartender indeed! Do I get to pick my own fish to put in my fishy drink? |

haha. Those fish are for looks only. hmm...mabe a "no fishing" sign would be appropriate..but then again, the original fish that was in there was a shark, so no one had to worry.
I tried to make some bottles and glasses, but haven't figured out how to make things that small yet. They tend to fill the room.
Anyway, I got a tad upset fighting the exporter yesterday, so I spent all of today totally and completely rebuilding this project.
I got a whole lot done including making a couple textures myself. (they are the really bad looking ones.)
The current pics are here.
And if you would like to experience it before the doors get put in and locked, It's here. (sorry, windows only for now)
I've done a whole lot of "working around" the convertor as it doesn't like any size/type of cylendar now. (I even reinstalled everything to see if it was me)
Anywho, the project is moving on. I may even attempt to add another fish or two to that tank. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

New version pics.
I've redesigned the bar and entry area so they look better, and remade the fish tank.
Now to make some furnature. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Well, since I had today off work, I finished the furnature. (just haven't placed it all yet)
Bar Furnature
Bar and Bottle Rack
Dance floor with Juke box (need to make the speakers)
And got the game portals in (no games yet, and need to get some generic signs made)
I'm debating the lights in the bar. I think it would look better with a light in the middle, and the same lights as the entry hall on the walls instead. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
