vrml can show the object in 3d on the web, i read somewhere that wings3d http://www.wings3d.com/ can export to vrml but i have never used it.(yes on the site of wings 3d you can see under export: vrml. So just export your model in deled to .obj(if you don't have the .obj exporter you can download it here: http://www.delgine.com/plugins/viewPluginCategories.php) than import it in wings and than export it to vrml. |

If you want to display it in 3D on the web, you can look for Blink3D, there's a plugin that can show 3D models in a web browser. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

I am no expert, but I consider VRML is a rather "dead" standard, no major browser supports it out of the box, and there no 'standard' player plugin. If I am completely wrong, VRML is alive and kicking, and we should really really add support for it, please inform us... |

No, you are correct. vrml died long ago. You have to have the "right" pluggin to view anything. At one time, I had 4 of them installed. (none now) _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

VRML changed name to X3D, but it's still dead :-)
VRML/X3D has been around for 20 years, and has no adoption in any good quality content creation tools. COLLADA has been around for 2 years and everybody supports it. There should be a lesson there somewhere. |
