DeleD Community Edition

I just bough DeleD Pro as a new user. However, I create the torus, then click polygons, then hold down ctrl and drag over the bottom half of the torus and nothing happens.
No matter what I do I can't select the bottom polygons of the torus in order to delete them, can someone tell me click by click what to do?

You have to select the newly created torus before switching to polygon mode. So:
Shift + Click on Torus
Polygon Mode
Shift + Drag over bottom polygons
Delete

okay thanks, that worked great, now I've had an hour or two playing around with DeleD, I'm starting to find it very very good. I use Blitz3D to program in. Can anyone recommend a good character modeller with animation support to use? (cheap preferably)

There's Milkshape 3D, but it's very spartanic when it comes to modeling, it does animation though. Google for Anim8or or Fragmotion, never used these two though.
