Hi,
I just want to suggest the use of splitter windows instead of 4 seperate windows with their blue bars on top,
maybe you could hide the bars when you lock the views?
thx in advance |

Yes, this needs a lot of space , unfortunately. I'd vote for this too. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

It seems splitters are a lot more popular than classical MDI these days, and for good reason. The gained screenspace is really nice, and they a lot friendlier to manipulate. The only drawback I see is there is no possibility to have a per-view menu (not a classic one anyway), but seeing how such a thing would take up even more precious space that's not a direction we want to go anyway.
This request comes up quite a lot these days, and I think we really should consider implementing it soonish (we will implement it eventually anyway). |

Yes, this would be really nice...
Just last night I was fighting with the DeleD windows . It can be very touchy how close the windows are to the edges (if they're too close, you get the scrollbars...but...many times you'll leave a decently sized margin of empty space.), and of course accidentally moving a window when modeling...
Of course you can lock the views, but then you can't open the UV mapper... |
