This is a little project I've been working on. Finally have something to show. This is an attempt to remake a distroyed castle. -->This one<-- It's comming along ok. I'm still learning how to model, and...well...I've actually learned how to manipulate virtices. Smile so that's a plus and a god send.
Please be advised...this is a definate work in progress and will take some time before I actually finish as I am attempting to make it as close to the original as possible.

Some screenies. Smile

I don't have any plans at the moment to do anything with this eccept learn the different DeleD functions. Smile

i can't find that dome tower anywhere in those original screenshots?, Also the pointy roofs are way to high and big in comparison with the walls.

the layout seems to be ok though, can't wait to see this castle finished.

It looks interesting Very Happy The only thing out of place is the backside castle walls because they seem to big in comparison with the rest of the castle. But it's a good start. Are you going to finish it all (or at least the most possible)?

I do plan on finishing it. I have today, and mabe some time tomorrow to work on it.
The scale is the same for all the fences. (I do a lot of cloning and then setting the length manually)

The towers were definately too large, so I went back and looked at the pics again and found there were only 2 cone shaped towers on the whole castle. (the domed chappel was just a test)

Here are some updates:

It's getting closer. The large tower structure on the left of the screen is supposed to have 3 roofs, but I'm going to leave it as one.

That looks good so far.
YOu should scale down the size of the wall textures, it would look more realistic.

Ok, the only thing left I can see to do to this is to add in the windows. :/
I can't figure out what else is missing.

Here are the "in Deled" screenshots:
Looking down from the gate:

Looking thru the gate from player level:

Looking south from the gate:

Looking north from the gate:

the prison cell:

And a couple ingame shots for effect:

View from mountain above:

With player to get the feeling of the scale:

And that's all there is.

This looks very good, I really like the view from the mountain.
The only thing you could do is to chang the textures of the metall in the prison cell to a bit a rusty, dark metall.

You are correct. I think this looks better.

Now, I need to add those odd shapped windows, (won't be too difficult) and get some doors on the buildings.
First tho, I have to get to work, so mabe this evening.

Thanks. I've added some doors and windows, and even added some smoke comming from the chimneys. (not finished yet. Just did the front.)

Edit to add some pics.

Now if I were to be able to export this in the dif format, the lighting would work. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the .map format, it isn't possible. That's why the whole thing looks dark. DeleDs lights won't work for dts objects eather. Sad

Edit to add one more:
