It would be nice if DeleD could use more than one thread to render light maps when running on a multi-core CPU. However, personally I only use light maps for visualization, so it's not that important.
Second, do you want to put the levelwalker and nuxporter plug-ins on the plugin download page?
http://levelwalker.googlecode.com/
http://nuxporter.googlecode.com/
Both have been fairly stable for a while now.
Third, how does the light map decide how big to make a lumel? There is a "smallest" and "largest" cluster size setting, which doesn't help much -- I'd much rather have a single setting saying "one lumel is X units wide&tall." Then make the clusters as small or big as you have to.
Fourth, did I mention that it would be useful for plug-ins to be able to act like regular commands, get sub-selection, maybe even interact in viewports? It may have slipped my mind, so I'm mentioning it now :-) |

Oh, and fifth: DeleD doesn't work so well under Vista Virtualization, because Vista moves any write attempts into the Program Files folder into a hidden area off the user's folder, it's pretty hard to find your maps and light maps and whatnot. You also can't save new prefabs or material libs etc.
The right thing to do is to put DeleD data either in the user's folder ("My DeleD Data" with subfolders for textures, maps, etc) or in the application data folder. You could get away with writing to the program files folder on XP if the user was administrator (which most users were), so perhaps you didn't realize how bad it is. Not so under Vista! No more free lunch :-) |

I just made them available at the plugin section. Thanks a lot! |

Only four more to go ;-)
Seriously, though, the Vista file system problem is actually the biggest problem for me right now. It's quite annoying! |

Yeah, you are spot on regarding the Vista thing. I never (ever) install things into the Program Files anyway so I didn't notice it much during the Vista testing, but it is definitely annoying. I don't really understand why you can't create those items (virtualization is supposed to work for that, too), but your point is clear.
Not too sure about the best place to store things on Windows XP though. Half the users out there couldn't find "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data " if it was waving them over with a bright red flag, which is the main reason all those 'poorly written XP apps" like us still dump their stuff inside the application installation folder. |

You could create a "show folder" button in strategic places, like the Material Editor.
If the Application Data folder is not the right place, then you could create a subfolder in Documents. |

"Documents" is Vista only
It's "My Documents" in XP
You need to use the right API calls to get the folders names.
I can't find one of my prefab folders, or the lightmap folder since I used them in Deled prior to just giving myself full rights to the DeleD folders. |

Obviously. Else, it won't go into the right folder when it's called something like "Papiers" or "ドキュメント" or "文件" or "часть документов у меня есть" or ... :-)

Virtualization is on even if you have full rights. You have to turn off AUC to turn it off. There might be an "advanced" configuration on the EXE itself to turn off virtualization, too, and I know you can do it per-process (while it's running) in the Process explorer. |

Good one. Or an 'open windows explorer here', officially recommending that you do re-organizing of said folders using the OS. In combination with a monitor on that folder reflecting changes inside DeleD immediately, that might work out nicely. |
