Continued from here.

I think I'm finished with this model. (looks good to me anyway)
Just want to know what you think?

I actually made the textures myself. Smile

Looks good, you're improving your skills. Smile

How many polygons does it contain?

Cool, I really like what you did with the outlets/inlets!

Can we get a close-up of that main hull texture? It looks a bit gritty, but that might just be JPEG artifacts... just curious to what it looks like up close. Very Happy

Thanks and sure.
The texture is a heavily scaled 64 X 64 simple texture. The texture sucks becouse I'm no artist. I attempted to make the tiled squares that the ship is covered with. I may need to redo that texture altogether to make it look more realistic.
The original texture is this one:

and here's a closeup of the saucer:

While I was at it, I took a wireframe top view image as well.
There are some places where I could optimise this, and I deviated from the original plans when I couldn't get it to look right. I have a grand total of 5 textures on it as well.
I did a lot of vertice manipulation with this model. That's something I usually shy away from as I usually totally screw up the model.

You should also put in various splotches of shades of grey/white in there too.

http://www.webdesign.org/web/photoshop/tutorials/painting-a-spaceship-hull-texture.4969.html

You definitely could get away with a ton less polygons, especially because parts of the ship look a bit too segmented.

These are the voyages.... Smile

That's what they called it.

@Starnick, Yes, I need to do some real optimising. That's next on my "to-do" list.

Look at my picture again. Your model looks NOTHING like the 1701 B, because the entire bottom is wrong. Yours looks more like the original 1701.

Yes, mine is the original one. The newer one has a more rectangle engine. The people with the blueprint site I utilised called it 1701B and since I have no clue which ship is lettered which, I just used their naming.
Personally, I like the one you pictured better. It's a more sleeker version. Smile

That's ok. I never knew there were sooooo many different Enterprises. Laughing I figured there were 2 from the original, and 2 from the series.

Ya gotta love us. Cool

After optimising, the stats are as follows:
5690 polygons
11423 edges
5670 vertices
Smile

Now to completely redo that texture.

Edit to add:
I made a new texture. It looks more like tiles now instead of random lines. I also added some lights.

Shocked I didn't thing there was a person alive who didn't like Star Trek and Star Wars. Shocked

Edit to add: (I was kidding btw Wink )

Ok, the Enterprise, probably due to being named wrong, has gone awry.
Under Fire 1
Under Fire 2
These shots were taken inside tge. (torque game engine)
