I'm finding it impossible to select an individual vertex here. The screenshot should tell the whole story.

Call me stupid, but I don't see it. Please clarify yourself. |

Potential troubles I see here:
- the 2d vertex selection/hovering mechanism selects multiple vertices at the same time when you zoom in very far (as it was originally made to function at integer resolution, it doesn't work very well at small sizes)
- also, the 2D vertex selections would select vertices at all depths, selecting the vertices 'in the back' as well if you are working with round symmetrical shapes.
- the 3D selection mechanism might work a little bit better, but you can't zoom in too far because then the near clipping plane starts to bite.
Is any of these making sense? Also, what do you suggest would be the firstmost thing to do to make this problem less prominent? |

Look at all the red vertices. That is what I can select when I try and point at a single vertex. Also. There is an orange one in there. It's very far away from the actual vertex I clicked on. |

you are building with a waaay to small grid, If I can see it right, your gridsize is "2".
when I press 1 my gridsize is 4 so I don't know how small you are working
just scale everything alot, My characters are ussually as large as 2 big blue grid squares. The smaller you go, the more hard it becomes to select individual vertices. _________________ Chickens RULE | www.elementrix.nl |

But it shouldn't be that way. You should be able to work on your scene on a small scale as well as on a large scale. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

no I'm not. I'm actually modeling in an overly large scale. I know my grid size is 2.
When I point at 1 vertex, DeleD shouldn't be highlighting 15 of them, and then selecting a random one of those 15 everytime I try and click a specific one. |

Yeah...happened to me too...It's like the space that the cursor fits in the screen, doesn't get scaled "equivalentially" (?).. with the zoom you work with...(hope it gets understandable LOL) _________________
