I have been working on the front end of my MMO game.
I have finished off my website, my forums, and I also made a custom
launcher for the game.
here is a link to my site http://ageofastoria.com/
I am planning using Deled, to create all my low poly models for my game. _________________

My "Badness" hehe
Its a sci-fi / midevil cross genre mmo.
what i mean by that is
players can choose to use bows, swords etc, or choose modern weapons
like guns. There wont be magic in game, but weapons that deal elemental
damage, flame thrower for example. Players can have armored pet mounts to ride and use there pets in combat, or if they want go for a more futureistic hover bike to travel faster.
The game wont be level base, but profession based so you can mix and match skills from almost any profession to create a really unique character.
There will be different planets, different character races. how many? TBD
There will be a crafting system, with crafting professions.
I would also like to add in player housing.
and of course every MMO needs a "Good Faction" battling a "Bad Faction"
but when you create your character and pick a Side, you wont know
which is "Good" or "Bad" until you get farther into the story.
in real world, every Faction thinks there the "Good" one and thats kinda
what I want all the players to think. "I am on the Good Side", but might actually be on the bad side. After they finish the story Arc and find out what side there really on, they can finally decide to stay on that side, or
transfer over to the other side.
Thats a basic concept behind the game |

I believe the proper spelling is "medieval" :-)
Anyway, have you actually written any code yet? It doesn't look like you have either code or models, just a web site. Typically, you don't want to START with the web site; instead, you build your game until you have something that works to show, THEN you put effort into the web site. |

I coded my launchpad, currently i am using the realm crafter engine, but I need the pro version so I am patiently waiting on the release of that to see
if it will suit my needs. I am also looking at the Torque MMO engine and the MMO engine by Big World Tech as possible replacements.
I do have a few models I have created but being a software engineer by trade, my models are not very good. I was required to take a few modeling classes at university as a basic intro while doing my programming degree, so I am familiar with the maya and 3ds max. but like I said before, it takes me quite awhile to come out with anything game ready.
I decided to start off with the concept doc, then the GDD, launchpad, website and just finished the forums. I am still trying to figure out which engine I will be using, and don't want to have to re-do levels to make them work for a different engine. |

Sorry I have not posted in awhile, been busy with the team working on the game, but I figured I would post a few screenshots.
You can also download our beta client and test out the beta client at www.ageofastoria.com

It looks good, but in the first, second and last screenshot, the fog doesn't fit the skybox, the fog is to bright. _________________ ♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠♥♦♣♠ |

Unfornatually the RC engine does not have a Daytime fog, and a night time fog. So image 3 (daytime) looks normal, and the other 3 screenshots(nighttime) look abit off. _________________
