Time for another Everybody Models! Very Happy

Pick one of the following airplanes. Three are from WW2 and the last one is from WW1. The geometry doesn't seem to be very difficult so the objective is to create a fully texturemapped airplane.

Of course, if you don't want to texturemap the airplane, just create the geometry. Wink

B17

Spitfire

Mustang

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Who will top this one? Gallery material! Adding it to the gallery now... Wink

How did you make that texture? All by yourself?

Also, could you tell us how you made that model? I think lots of people can learn from your words. I think it's great stuff to create a tutorial from.

I got the texture from screenshots like that reference screenshot, then do some tweaking in photoshop and modifying in Paint.net and asemble the texture on the UV in paint.net.

I spend 6 hours on it, you don't just create a tutorial about it, but I'll see what I can do (I have 2 weeks vacation in 2 weeks so then I could create a nice texture) but I won't discuss the whole thing on how I made the texture in that tutorial though, that would be too much.

Well, if you can show the basics using some pictures, I can write a tutorial around it. That would be awesome. Smile

elementrix that plane look really good. Shocked

Was trying to make one of the airplanes but
na was not my thing, every try got totally messed up.
So I end up making a paper airplane Laughing

Edit: Mon Apr 14, 2008 7:32 pm
I gave it an other try this time with the Curtis Jenny plane
and it came out better than my first planes.
Though I like my paper plane most Razz
